Each generation offers new man-made philosophies and models, but personal and interpersonal problems continue to plague us. Even in the body of Christ there are unhappy and broken marriages, substance abuse, depression, anxiety, fear, worry, and many other problems resulting in distress, physical illness, and immobility. The only complete source that identifies causes and provides solutions to life’s problems is the Bible.”
“As they say now days “mic drop”.”
This epic statement is found in the introductory pages of the Self-Confrontation Bible Study. And I gotta say I truly believe that to be true. This month I had the awesome privilege to be a part of the Self-Confrontation teaching team led by Mike and Mechelle Malane, along with Ronnie Gracia. We journeyed together to Chino Hills, California for an intensive study through the scriptures two full weekends. The 25 people in attendance were from various churches in the area.
It was such a joy to not just be a part of this but to hear the testimonies of the people in the room. One attendee had this to say “Something I appreciate about this study is how it really emphasizes our responsibility. Cause we hear so much that the world makes excuses our environment, parents and in the foundation part of the study it emphasizes we need to take responsibility for us. That to me is important, I appreciate that the most."
This Bible study is one that is very near and dear to my heart, number one because I believe the Bible is sufficient to solve life problems and secondly because this study helped me apply the scriptures to my life to overcome my two year bout with Anxiety. I personally understand in more ways than one in the words of John 3:33; “And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.”
It is for this reason that the Self-Confrontation Bible study is an integral part of the Ministry of Strength & Dignity Life. As we mentioned in previous newsletters one of our goals is to streamline the study to make it more user friendly without jacking with the integrity. You can definitely keep this in your prayers as we are hoping to create a video series of it.
“Two years ago...”
So two years ago the Lord impressed on my heart that I needed to practice my Spanish. I thought that was a silly idea so I dismissed it. And a year ago I was asked to be the Keynote speaker for First Christians Church’s Spanish Ministry. At that time I was asked to give my messages all in Spanish. I think you get the picture. Lesson one: obey the Lord, lesson two be prepared to use your Spanish.

Earlier this month I was asked to be one of the speakers at a Women’s Conference in the Imperial Valley. A group of ten churches are collaborating together to put this conference on but being spear-headed by Monica Lozano. It will be a two day event happening September 21st and 22nd and you guessed it, it is all in Spanish. The first night will be geared to youth girls ages 14-18 and the following day will be for women.
I can honestly say I was a little apprehensive because of my language skills but when I heard what the Conference was to be about I knew it was the Lord. The theme is “Mujeres Regresemos a las Escrituras 2018” (translation: Women Return to the Scriptures 2018) This entire conference is dedicated to educating women on Bible Literacy and how to study the scriptures. I have the wonderful challenge and privilege to teach the youth on these topics. Please pray and believe along with us for a revival of women reading and applying the Word.

Once again we remind you that our Live Radio Program will be airing August 14th on 95.3FM the Edge. You can either set your radio to 95.3 FM or get the app '953 The Edge' available for iOS.
Along those lines KGBA 100.1 FM has asked to broadcast my “Mom Moments” which we have been posting on our Instagram. These will be 3 minute slots that will play Beginning on Saturdays. I have to be honest all this really blows my mind I never imagined I would be doing all this.
There is one opportunity to help our ministry coming up on September 1st. We will be having a Coffee Night Fundraiser at Calvary Chapel El Centro. We are partnering up with some friends Teresa Munger of Modestly Chic clothing there will be a silent auction and Ozzie will be selling his breads and more in the works. We would ask that you check our website and social media platforms for more information. We invite you to come out and support us and invite others to come and hear about our ministry.
We have also been confirmed for three Speaking engagements the first is October 6th at First Assembly of God in El Centro, Ca , December 13th at First Christian Church in El Centro and December 15th at Calvary Chapel South Bay in Gardena California. As you know we are currently working on our Non-Profit and we are excited to see things coming together we ask that you keep this in prayer as we confirm our board members and continue in the process. As you can see so much is going on its amazing to see all that the Lord is doing but none of this is possible without your Prayer and financial support. At present it takes $3,000 a month to continue in operation and since day one God has been faithful to get us through but we could definitely use your help. Our desire is to minister to those churches that are unable to afford a quality conference, we have been given all that we need to take our ministry on the road and for this reason we need your help to help get us out there.
