E23: Lessons from Corona

IMG_0119 small.jpg

Apryl Ortiz, our host, reflects upon the changes during this pandemic season. This season, like certain seasons for God’s people in the old testament, has served to prove where our faith lies as it is shaken. God is still working. But where are our thoughts?

None of us have been unaffected by the Coronavirus. Life has changed. And we’ve learned to live with less in a lot of ways. However, scripture reminds us that we are being put through trials, tested for refinement and to give God glory. Which in turn points us back to old testament teachings of God’s provision and care. For example, the teachings of Noah, Moses, and Jonah.

Apryl encourages us all to return to God’s word, putting it into practice. It is God, and God only, who will soothe our anxious thoughts. He is still working, and He is still our provider. Apryl imparts that our greatest tool, in various trials, is remembering who God is and what He has already done.
