A Sense of PEACE

After a four hour trip, less than an hour to rest and prepare; I made my way through a secure glass door, into a small office than through the iron security door. And much to my surprise the moment my foot stepped into the courtyard of the MAR Women's rehabilitation center I was overtaken by a sense of peace kinda like when you walk into your house after a really long road trip. The only other time I have ever felt that was the day I visited a Ugandan Women's prison. That my friends is a beautiful feeling!

The summer months of June and July have been some of the sweetest months. Lots of growth for me personally and for the Ministry. It is foolish for me to think that I will ever stop being stretched...speaking of being stretched:

Ensenada Baja California Mexico

What can I say SDL is getting a lot of love from Ensenada! I had the privilege of sharing some serious biblical truths at the MAR Women's Rehabilitation Center twice this month.

Our first invitation was to join the College & Career group of the Imperial Valley to serve as speakers at a special service and the added joy of ministering Pastoral/Missionary care for Peter & Tami Yee who have been serving faithfully for 8 years in Ensenada.

Part of our job consisted of keeping them out of the house so the C&C group could make some much-needed repairs and renovations to their home. We were so happy to be a part of this much-needed gift of service.

My second trip to Ensenada was an invitation by Peter Yee to hold a Strength & Dignity Conference in Español! For this one-day event, I enlisted the help of a dear friend Monica Rangel from Iglesia Communidad Cristiana in El Centro CA.

Together we taught a combined group from two Rehab Facilities, 90 women in total. Our teaching included biblical self-confrontation tools to overcome their life-controlling issues. After three sessions some of the women made a first-time decision to begin a relationship with Christ.

Strength & Dignity Live

To better serve our listening audience I have been making my way around to various College Groups asking for topics to cover on our Radio Program. This has served not only as an opportunity to get to know our listeners but to help get the word out.

The feedback has been incredibly positive and we are now using the questions submitted to create our future series'.

The ministry continues to expand its borders and we are excited for what God has in store for us. Thank you for your continued encouragement and support as we challenge young women to raise the standard on the culture by living out biblical principals!

If you would like to help further the work of SDL we ask you to consider becoming a monthly donor. You can do that by sending a tax-deductible donation to Strength & Dignity Life 170 N 22nd St. El Centro CA 92243.

Blessings,
Apryl
