It has been a great year and I couldn’t be more pleased with all the work God has done through the ministry of Strength & Dignity Life and people like yourself who give of your time, your prayers and your finances to help us impact this Fatherless generation.
Here are some of the highlights from the month of November.
All For God Living
All for God Living is a Christian business network for Women. There is an Imperial Valley and San Diego Chapter. After sharing at the El Centro event I was invited to speak at the San Diego network at Torrey Pines in La Jolla. The workshop included Dressing with Dignity and honoring God in our homes and workplace.
Calvary Chapel Bible College Murrietta
November 3rd Myself along with Ketzali Sanchez traveled the harsh stormy roads to Calvary Chapel Bible College were I was asked to speak at the Found Faithful women’s group. So much prayer went into this night as the topic I was asked to teach on was a heavy one. The night’s subject was Pornography and Masturbation.
“Having Apryl come and speak with the young women at Calvary Chapel Bible College was an absolute blessing and gift from the Lord. He knew the ways that Apryl would specifically minister not only to our students but our staff as well. As the Dean of Women here at the Bible College, I desire our girls here to be growing in their knowledge of the truth and how to directly apply the Word to their daily lives. Apryl helped equip the girls in our purity group to see the practical ways that God has set them free in the gospel from all kinds of sexual sin. Her precise knowledge of the Word paired with her powerful personal testimony proved to be a refreshing well of wisdom for all sorts of questions and issues discussed that night. We look forward to partnering with Strength and Dignity Life in the future!”
That night I was able to pray with women who shared their struggles in these areas and teach them how to overcome using the word of God!
Strength & Dignity Life 1st Annual Fashion Show & Dinner
Oh what a night! November 23rd we celebrated at our 1st Annual Fashion Show & Dinner. Over 100 guests came out along with local vendors who helped clothe our lovely models. The models were all young women who have been impacted by our ministry. Everyone in the audience was able to experience fashion tips taken from my Dressing with Dignity workshop. Together Ozzie and I shared the vision to reach fatherless young women and invited the audience to partner with us and help fund equipment needed for the official launch of our podcast and on going media ministry.
Phoenix
After much prayer, fasting and seeking God for direction we felt it was in the best interest of the ministry for Ozzie to seek out a full-time job. After several interviews and offers the Lord confirmed to us that Ozzie should take a job in Phoenix, Arizona. We now have new opportunities opening and new volunteer staff to help with our podcast. Talk about confirmation!
Friends God continues to lead us into uncharted waters where all we can do is walk by faith and not by sight. I have to admit it feels great to be in His will, never a dull moment and always a challenge. Thank you for being part of the journey I am truly crazy enough to believe we can raise the standard on the culture and impact this fatherless generation for eternity.
