The Bible is an important part of our christian faith. It is something we should be reading everyday, but it can confusing to understand.

There is an abundance of free resources that were created to help us better understand the Bible. However, there is one resource that is particularly helpful in deciphering rough passages. This resource was created for people like you and me who have a desire to study God’s word but have difficulty understanding the scriptures. It is great for all ages and is especially helpful for visual learners. Join me, along with guest Mike McDonald of the Bible Project, as we discuss one of the best Bible resources available.

Michael McDonald is Director of Strategic Relationships for BibleProject, a crowdfunded nonprofit animation studio dedicated to communicating a single, powerful message to the world: the Bible is one unified story that leads to Jesus. Celebrated for its captivating, animated YouTube videos outlining and simplifying each book of Scripture, BibleProject is a fan-driven, fan-funded movement that provides its resources worldwide, free of charge.

McDonald—a former pastor—brings his years of experience to bear as he connects with leaders, influencers, journalists, and supporters, ensuring they take advantage of the unparalleled content library the organization has to offer. Prior to joining BibleProject, he served for over a decade in more than 15 countries working to improve people’s daily lives, one community at a time. Focused on educational, micro/macro financing projects, conflict resolution, and economic development, he was able to impact over 100,000 people in over 60 communities.

McDonald also lead thousands of Christian leaders on more than 200 trips to the Middle East, South East Asia and Africa, and also worked in Iraq, Uganda, Somalia, India, Myanmar, Thailand, Cambodia and Haiti. He has also served on a number of boards—including Remember Nhu and Fly Fishing Collaborative—with a focus on ending child sex trafficking.

McDonald lives in Portland, Oregon with his wife Melissa.
